The VMA enjoys the benefit of Special Rules, sanctioned by the Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal for the management of its educational institutions. At present nearly 250 students study in the institution. The results are excellent and in the Annual Examination, almost all the students secure above 85% marks. It is adjudged as one of the best Bengali medium Schools in the State with due importance on English as the 1st language since its inception in 2018.
The Sikshayatan is one of the institutions of the Vivekananda Mission Asram where an attempt is made to impart an all-round education to the children. Swamiji sald," The idea of all education and training should be man-making." This is the ideal and; efforts are made to put it into effect. Here students are encouraged and trained to grow in all directions-physical, intellectual, moral and spiritual.

Chandi(near Amtala), P.S. - Binshupur, 24 Paraganas (South), West Bengal, India, PIN-743503, Phone (033) 2480 8095, Email vmaschandi@gmail.com is an extended unit of Vivekananda Mission Asram Sikshayatan (Self-financed Primary School) at Viveknagar, P.O.Chaitanyapur (Haldia), Purba Medinipur, Pin - 721645 which consists of a special Co-educational Pre-Primary Section (1976) and a Primary Section (1980).
The Session begins in January and gets over in December every year.
School Hour:
(1) Table -A (April to Puja Vacation): 6:50 am. to 11:10 a.m.
(2) Table -B (After Puja Vacation to March): 7:45 to 11:40 a.m.
Applications for admission are to be made on prescribed forms which may be had from the Office of the Sikshayatan between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on any working day in September & October every year. The last date of submission of the Application Forms and the dates of the Aptitude Test are notified in time. Selection of students from KG-1 to Class-IV is made on the basis of an Aptitude Test.

Physical Education: White track suit without any border, white collared sport vest with school badge, white keds & white socks.

Every year Examinations are periodically held with 3 units Test (except KG-I), the Half-yearly as well as the Annual Examinations for the students up to IV Standard.
Guardians will have to comply if the Sikshayatan Authority requests any guardian to withdraw his/her ward from the School for any reason (which may or may not be disclosed) at any time of the year. Guardians intending to withdraw their wards from the school, will have to apply to the Headmaster with the requisite fees of next six Calendar months/to the end of the session (whichever will be less) along with TC fees (Rs.- ) at the time of application. Under unavoidable circumstances if guardians want to withdraw their wards from school in the very next session, they must inform the Headmaster by October of the running session.
Library is the hub of all educational institutions. Special importance on the same would be given in due time as in VMAS, Chaitanyapur.
Every year an Exhibition will be arranged to kindle enthusiasm, intense love for science and other subjects among students as in VMAS, Chaitanyapur.
Following the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, here the students are allowed to enjoy games & sports with experienced games teachers for building strong and healthy body and mind.

Here, group-based Spoken English classes are conducted to enhance students' creativity and speaking ability. Additionally, workshops are regularly organized where students write their own rhymes, poems, stories, and travelogues, guided by skilled teachers. They also create their own illustrations based on these writings to further develop their talents.
An Annual Publication of "Vorer Alo' designed by the renowned poet Sri Kartik Ghosh, National & Academic Laureate as an ideal School Magazine as well as wall magazines is brought to light every year, mainly by the students with proper guidance of the School Magazine Deptt. aiming at invigorating the instinct of Self Expression and original thinking.
Here, students participate in class-wise cultural competitions featuring events like drawing, music, dance, recitation, yogasana, handwriting, storytelling, and quiz. Winners are honoured with attractive prizes in a grand ceremony attended by distinguished guests.
